Research interests | |
Toxicology is the study of the adverse effects of chemicals and biological substances in living organisms. The Naegeli group is active in different multidisciplinary research areas comprising molecular toxicology, food toxicology and clinical toxicology. We are using advanced methods of cellular and molecular biology combined with live-cell imaging, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics to study the reaction patterns of living organisms to endogenous or exogenous toxic insults.
Memberships to societies
Swiss Society of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Swiss Society of Toxicology, German Society for Research on DNA Repair (board member).
Editorial activities | |
Member of the Editorial Board of “DNA Repair” and “BMC Veterinary Research”; Ad hoc referee for a wide range of Journals representing both basic research and applied sciences, including among others: EMBO Journal, International Journal of Cancer, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Molecular Biology, Molecular Cell and Nature.
Teaching experience | |
All topics of pharmacology and toxicology at the Universities of Zürich and Bern, Cancer biology at ETHZ, Toxicology at ETHZ, Food toxicology at the University of Basel, Member of the Cancer Biology and Microbiology/Immunology PhD Programs in Zürich and of the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences in Bern. |
